About Us

We’re incredibly passionate about all things detailing, but predominantly specialise in a few key areas; Paint correction, Ceramic Coating, Wetsanding & if you haven’t already noticed we love anything to do with classic cars. We’ve also made it out mission to educate our customers on Ceramic Coatings and why the dealerships arent the best option for your vehicle or wallet.

 

We met each other whilst working together in Theatre at the Gold Coast Uni Hospital. I was a theatre technician and Steph a registered Anaesthetic Nurse.

I hated my job and was looking for a change. My twin brother Jye a qualified spray painter had not long started Scratch Away GC after being made redundant during covid. He was the one who convinced me to get back into detailing and have a crack at running my own business. Thankfully he did as it was the best thing I ever did.

 

I had been managing a carwash for about 4 years prior to working at the hospital and always enjoyed the polishing and more intricate side of detailing. Im also incredibly passionate about cars so the risk made sense.

My now wife Steph was helping out here and there and a little over a year in she left her full time nursing job to help grow the business and the rest is history. Her passion for detailing has continued to grow and her skillset now is nothing short of incredible.

 

We can’t wait to keep meeting many new customers and working on your cars and bikes. Being trusted to detail a customers pride and joy is always a rewarding feeling & seeing thier reactions on pickup even better.
